Sketchbook spreads, final illustrations and a short animated tourist advertisement developed from the Lisbon drawing trip 2025 with Cambridge School of Art.

At the beginning of the first trimester of my second year of BA(Hons) Illustration, I undertook an intensive week of observational drawing in Lisbon, Portugal. Through a mixture of tutored and self guided exercises, I developed my practice and pushed my use of media to quickly and accurately capture key visual information in each location. This body of work culminates in a short animated advertisement, which introduces new combinations of media and methods of working I'd discovered to be effective on location, in response to a Cambridge School of Art brief to capture our experience of the drawing trip.
