During summer 2026, I had the exciting opportunity to explore, experiment and play with the printmaking facilities, completing an internship at Cambridge School of Art. I worked closely with Printmaking Technical Officers John Williams and Damian Coyle as a Printmaking Technical Assistant, creating self-directed prints to explore specific techniques and taking part in the day to day running of the print room.

 

I developed my printmaking practice and deepened my understanding of the etching process, as well as learning and trying new methods like off-set lithography. I found the print room to be such an inspiring, creative and social space to work in. I am very thankful to John and Damian for all their guidance and support and have learnt so much from the experience I'll take forward with me into my practice in and outside of the print room.
